i didn’t say republicans did buy american, it just seems that democrats would …. or should put their money where their mouth is, like not driving SUVs etc.

because they’re making crappier cars. plain and simple.
maybe if american car companies wouldn’t lower their standards and would be innovative, more folks would buy their cars.
for instance, if they really developed a top-notch, no-nonsense electric car, the american automobile economy would rise again.
i mean, none of these car companies are “mom and pop”. they’re all massive corporations that don’t give 2 cents about “the american
worker”.

personally, though, i’ll always buy american automobiles. my first was a ford… second was a chevy.
next, i’m thinking dodge, but i love classic mustangs.

WTH are you talkin’ about? I’m a Democrat and I’ve always owned American cars…A Mercury Tracer, a Chevy Cavalier, A Dodge Ram truck…A Cadillac…I’m assumsing that more Republicans have foreign cars because they can afford to buy those crazy, expensive, vehicles.

I’ll take the performance, safety and interior styling of a luxury import over an American car any day of the week. if the US built cars like the German’s we wouldn’t have to buy imports now would we?
