My boyfriend took his car to a shop to be fixed and they said it was the fuel pump. They supposedly fixed it but soon after the same problem occured. He returned it and they fixed it yet again..and just recently the same problem has occured. He returned it to them and they said that they replaced the fuel pump with a new one..wich was covered by the warranty..and that all he had to pay was the labor cost. He feels he shouldnt have to pay anything and is wondering if there are any legal actions he can take if necessary…and who should he call…what kind of legal council does he need?

From recent experience from two dealers it seems that when I brought my auto in for a repair (once a recall, another a warranty), not long if not immediately afterwards something new goes wrong with my truck or car. Of course it requires a dealer only supplied part and not covered under a warranty. It is already hard to trust new car dealers and this just makes me further suspicious of the dealerships practices.

I took my 17 year old car to get repair work done and the final bill was $286.10 more than the estimate. This was about a 25% jump. Of course you are always going to find something else to fix on a car that old. Most shops I take it to get authorization B4 performaing additional tasks. If this happens to be a law in Colorado, will you please point me in the direction to find in the law books.
