I keep the date, mileage, what maintenance was performed and by whom.
most owners manuals have a chart in them for scheduled maint.
I just use a spiral notebook and staple or tape recepts in it along with writing any notes
if you have windows on your PC then Microsoft windows task lanucher will help you, go to start—>all programs and look for windows taks launcher in the programs on your computer it should have come with it and then just play around with it and youll find this application or whatevre that you can print out and stuff and keep track of everything.

Wherever you spend more time is where you need to keep a log of your car maintenance. If you spend a lot of time on your computer, than you could either put together a spreadsheet on Excel or you could put flag your calendar to remind you of upcoming maintenance. Things like oil changes are easy because they always put a removable sticker on your windshield showing the mileage and or date that you need to do the next oil change. You could also try using the calendar on your cell phone and putting a reminder on that.
Here’s a thought…most mechanics WANT your business and will gladly call or email you to remind you of upcoming scheduled maintenance. That way, someone remembers for you. Best of luck.
