Ebay is totally up front about all fees. I have never bought through Ebay but I have sold two cars in the last five years or so. You just have to be very careful of who you are dealing with and be very suspicious. Personally I would never buy anything before I saw it with my own eyes and drove it. My advice is only search within the distance you are willing to travel to go look before you buy. Ask lots of questions. ASk for lots of pics. get a vin and run a carfax. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is

When you buy on ebay the only money involved is what you pay for the vehicle. You would also have your normal state fees and taxes. The only eBay fees involved are those for the seller.
