You’re the parent, do what you want, but I wouldn’t buy a new one. ) I just bought a Ford Crown Vicoria for with 15K for 14000 - just half a new one’s cost!! I would go with four doors and a low theft rate ( for insurance purposes-save all you can this girl is close to college!!) Some good choices would be the Ford Fusion or Crown Victoria ( it gets 25-27 and will burn E 85 if a Flex Fuel model, the hundya (sp?) sonata, the honda accord, the toytoa carolla, or the chevy malibu……good luck
