First I’m no car sales man.

But I would think the difference would be that with car salesman you HAVE to sell every car that come in even if they are bad cars. And given most cars are thousands of dollars, car salesman are call to ***** some of their clients.

Ask yourself - how often did you sell broken newpaper advertising?

Good Luck.

The market is terrible right now. Keep your newspaper Job. Everyone gets on then internet and ten wants to pay dealer cost. Not any money in new cars at all.

Being automobile salesman is a difficult way to make a living. You work long hours and some dealerships ask you to cheat your customers. I sold cars for many years and refused to cheat anyone. I would not sell a car I would not buy myself. It just like any business, you will find good and bad people there.

Remember the 80/20 rule, 80 percent of the people make 20 percent of the money and 20 percent of the people make 80 percent of the money. Which are you going to be?

The simple fact that you ask for honest answers only please tells me that your value system and that of a typical car salesman are mutually exclusive.
