I just need to know if this is in fact a freebie repair, or not. I find it hard to believe Honda would have bothered releasing this bulleting in January of 2009 knowing full well, most Civic owners from 2006 probably surpassed their 36,000 mile warranty by that point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Recalls do not have time constraints. Call your local dealer and have them run your vin # to verify if your vehicle is part of the campaign or not. Recalls or bulletins come out when repair information has been verified and the issue has been resolved. All this goes through RD. All recalls are free. Service bulletins are not necessarily recalls. Hope i’ve helped.
