I recommend using some dielectric grease on the battery post/clamp to prevent corrosion. Also, make sure the lower tip of the J-hook is pointing away from the battery. It could pierce the battery and cause a nasty leak and no-start.

LOL no positive first, neg last. Dont touch both sides battery with wrench also be careful not to touch positive then ground on body or any metal. There was a guy i met fussed his wedding band somehow looked pretty bad can you say weld!

i have a 93 eldorado,if anyone knows alot i think i have a small problem. please give your idea.ran it loe on gas a about 8,9 times then 1 day it stated to lose power,didint know what was wrong so it sat for a few weeks,freind said it has air in tank,filled it with gas,changed gas filter,put inject cleaner.q? sometimes car runs like new,then it will lose power and want to die out ill shut it off 2,3times then start it and its perfect oh no matter hot or cold it will do this.q fuel pump or coil
