My friends car had a check engine light come on, which i instracted him to get it scanned for free at auto zone. I don’t recall the code but it indicated a cylinder 4 misfire. Due to budget, he only wants to replace the bad plug and save a full tune up for later. The engine which I believe is a 3.3 has 3 wires that come off the top and another 3 that are hidden in underneath.

Which one is #4?

Dont beleive they ever used a 3.3 in these cars. most likely its the 2.5. If so, the #4 cylinder is the front middle one. The car should hve an emissions sticker on the radiator support with the engine size. Or on the valve cover itself

i doubt it being a 3.3 in that car,it would be 2.5 probably, he needs to replace all of the plugs in it as a set ,when he replaces one all he may do is transfer the miss fire to another cylinder, number 4 wire is the one facing him second one one the front side of the engine,or closest to the radiator, second one back, good luck.
